At Dinex, we are developing a 𝗟𝗼𝘄 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 (𝗟𝗧𝗠) 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 based on 0.5 mm AISI 304 stainless steel, designed to improve thermal response where it matters most: during cold start.

By reducing material mass, the system requires less energy to heat up, allowing more exhaust enthalpy to reach the catalyst earlier.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁 — 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆:
• Robotic MIG–CMT welding of 0.5 mm material
• Stable and repeatable joining process
• Leak-tight, defect-free welds
• Proven compatibility between forming and welding

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀:
✔ Shorter cold-start phase
✔ Faster catalyst light-off
✔ No additional fuel consumption
✔ Smooth internal weld geometry with no increased deposit risk

The solution has been validated through simulations, welding trials, and functional testing, demonstrating both 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆.
